Statement of General Policy

It is the policy of Ailsen Limited to give prime importance to the health, safety and welfare of its emplyees whilst at work. This is considered to be a responsibility equal to that of any other function. As well as recognising that in order to achieve and maintain the high standard required, all employees must be aware of, and accept their respective responsibilities.

To comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and its associated legislation, the Company will, through its organisational arrangements, take all reasonable practicable steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of its employees and all persons likely to be affected by its operations, including subcontractors, visitors and the public where appropriate and in particular will provide:

  • a safe systems of work to ensure the working environment is safe and healthy;
  • plant and equipment which is maintained in a safe condition;
  • adequate information, instruction, training and competent supervision;
  • storage of all materials and substances in a safe manner;
  • facilities and provisions for the treatment of any injuries which occur at work;
  • notices and procedures for the safe evacuation in the event of fire, explosion or any other emergency;
  • a system to monitor accidents and ill-health in order to reduce accidents and dangerous occurrences.

The Company will ensure that there exist adequate facilities for effective consultation between management and employees representatives on matters of health, safety and welfare.

This Policy will be reviewed as appropriate to reflect the continuing commitment in promoting high standards of health, safety and welfare within the structure of Ailsen Limited.
